报告题目：On principal eigenvalues of time-periodic parabolic operators with applications

报告摘要：We will start from some infectious disease models to motivate the study of principal eigenvalues of linear time-periodic parabolic operators, with further discussions about some recent progress on qualitative properties of principal eigenvalues for time-periodic operators. The talk is based on the joint works with Shuang Liu, Rui Peng and Maolin Zhou.
报告人简介：楼元，上海交通大学数学科学学院讲席教授。1984-1991年就读于北京大学数学系，获学士和硕士学位。1991-1995年就读于美国明尼苏达大学数学系并获博士学位。曾在美国国家数学科学研究所（1995-96年）和芝加哥大学（1996-98年）做博士后，1998-2021年任教于俄亥俄州立大学数学系，曾任美国数学生物研究所副所长。研究兴趣是反应扩散方程及在生物学中的应用，发表学术论文130余篇，目前担任J. Differential Equations、J. Math. Biol.、SIAM J. Appl. Math.等多个国内外期刊编委以及DCDS-B系列的共同主编。
